Danows in Disney

You're looking at what was probably our last happy moment in the Animal Kingdom.

Because right after this, we went to the birds of prey show.

And I got kicked out.

Yeah. Me.

How, you may ask?

Well, Caedyn was sitting beside me on a bench. Mike on the other side of him. In what has to be the whole minute since I'd looked over at him, Caedyn got on his knees on the bench to see over/around the woman in front of him who had, once again, picked her baby up and put her over her shoulder, obstructing his view. Mind you, this puts his head about even with mine.

An employee comes up from behind and asks him to sit down so that the people BEHIND him can see.

Now. I'm a reasonable person and a hyper-vigilant parent. If I'd have seen that he'd gotten up on his knees, I'd have made him get down. But, protective mom kicks in and turns to politely explain that he'd gotten up on his knees because he couldn't see over the woman in front of him. I was tersely instructed to move to the bleachers in the back of the ampitheater.

So, I tapped Mike, and we moved.

Except, he forgot the little bag we've been carrying around with my pills in it. (The one that the anonymous commenter made fun of under one of the pics of Mikey because he was wearing it.)

And I'd already lost my damn cell phone that morning.

And my medication is in the damn bag - which is a nice little leather waist pack with Mickey on the front.

So Mike gets up to get it, but is instructed to sit back down because they're about to let one of the birds fly. (It's very dangerous to be walking around when they do this because they're birds of prey and might decide they're in danger or your head is food or whatever.)

So, I wait til the bird flies back to the stage and whatnot. Mike says "She said to get it after the show and I'm not sure where we were sitting."

I remember where we were sitting. We were sitting behind that damn woman with the cute baby on her shoulder.

And my meds are in that bag.

And I already lost my damn cell phone.

So, I decide I'm not losing the bag too.

And, I get up.

And the employee lady says I have to sit cuz another bird is flying. So I do. I wait until she gives the other woman she stopped the go ahead to move again.

I go up, find the bench, get the bag, turn around and see security heading my way.

I get escorted out of the show.

Mike misses everything cuz he's watching the damn birds.

We leave and go to McDonald's for lunch.

And I still haven't been on Kilimanjaro Safaris since the first time we went to Animal Kingdom 5? years ago.
