Danows in Disney

Our trip to the Happiest Celebration on Earth!

On to Wednesday!

So, there's this great site called the Virtual Magic Kingdom (VMK for short) that we found out about back when we went to Disney for Caedyn's birthday. It's basically an online game for kids where they earn points to decorate personal rooms and win stuff for their characters. Mike and Caedyn both love it.

When you visit the actual Magic Kingdom, you can pick up little brochures with trivia questions called 'Quests', and all the answers to the questions can be found in the park. Once you've answered all the questions, you go back to the shop on Main Street set up for the VMK and redeem your quest for prize codes for your character. So, Wednesday morning was deemed 'Quest time' for the guys while Mommy did something she's never actually had the chance to do - meander up Main Street all by herself.

That's right. I wandered up Main Street, stopped at the bakery for hot chocolate and this oh-my-god-yummy concoction called a french toast loaf (which...yowza!) dripping in syrup and butter, watched people walk by, and just...relaxed. It felt utterly wicked. :)

Normally, I tend to be what Mike lovingly terms "the Ride Nazi", trying to squeeze in every ride possible in the most efficient, time-saving manner, but this year, he ordered that the Ride Nazi stay home in favor of relaxing this year. I think this was the point at which I became truly grateful for that assertion. The Ride Nazi may have to make an appearance next time, but she's definitely not allowed the whole vacation ever again. :)
